Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions that come up most. Each one links to the full explanation where there is one.
General
What does it cost to launch a token?
Nothing beyond gas. There is no listing fee and no revenue share taken up front — the protocol earns from trade fees instead.
Do I get tokens for launching?
No. All 1,000,000,000 tokens go to the curve and the liquidity reserve. If you want a position you make a dev buy in the same transaction. Creators earn from fees, not from an allocation.
What is USDG, and what is WETH?
Two assets, two jobs. WETH buys and sells tokens on the bonding curve, and token prices and the graduation target are denominated in it. USDG is what prediction markets settle in — every bet is staked and paid out in USDG. It is a stablecoin intended to track the US dollar.
Can I change my token's name or image later?
No. Name and ticker are on-chain, and the image, description and links live in immutable IPFS metadata. Everything is permanent from launch.
Trading
Why did I receive so few tokens?
Most likely you bought inside the 30-second anti-snipe window, where the surcharge starts at 99%. It could also be price impact on a large order against a thin curve.
Why did my transaction fail?
Usually slippage — the price moved beyond your tolerance between signing and execution, so the trade reverted rather than filling at a worse price. Raising slippage slightly or trading a smaller size normally fixes it. You still pay gas on a reverted transaction.
Can I sell at any time?
Yes. Before graduation you sell back to the curve, which always has a bid. After graduation you sell into the Uniswap V4 pool. Either way there is a market — though not necessarily at a price you like.
What happens if a token never graduates?
It stays on the curve indefinitely. Trading continues and you can still sell, but there is no Uniswap pool. Most tokens end up here.
How long does graduation take?
There is no fixed time — it happens once roughly 2 WETH has been raised, which might be minutes or never. The graduation progress bar on each token page shows how far along it is.
Predictions
When do I get my winnings?
After the market resolves, you claim them from Portfolio. Payouts are not pushed automatically, and there is no deadline to claim.
Can I cancel or reduce a bet?
No. Stakes are locked once placed and cannot be withdrawn before resolution. There is no way to exit a position early.
What if nobody bets against me?
If the losing pool is empty there is nothing to win, so winners simply get their stake back and the fee is waived entirely.
Who decides the outcome?
Nobody. Resolution reads on-chain state directly — whether the curve completed, or how many unique buyers it recorded — evaluated as of the deadline. There is no oracle and no admin decision.
What does a void market mean?
The market could not be settled, so everyone is refunded their full stake and no fee is taken.
