Getting started

You need three things before you can trade: a wallet, funds on Robinhood Chain, and gas. This page covers all three.

1. Connect a wallet

Click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner. Any EVM wallet works — MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, or anything WalletConnect supports.

If your wallet is on the wrong network it will prompt you to switch to Robinhood Chain. Approve the switch, or add the network manually with the details below.

Verify the URL before connecting. Phishing sites clone launchpad interfaces to drain wallets. Check the domain in your address bar every time, and never enter a seed phrase into any website — no legitimate site will ever ask.

2. Get WETH and USDG

Two assets are used, for two different things:

  • WETH buys and sells tokens on the bonding curve. Token prices, market caps and the graduation target are denominated in it.
  • USDG is what prediction markets settle in — every bet is staked and paid out in USDG regardless of what the token itself trades against. It is a stablecoin, so 1 USDG is intended to track 1 US dollar.

You also need a small amount of the chain's native gas token to pay transaction fees.

3. Approve, then trade

The first time you spend USDG you will sign two transactions instead of one:

  1. Approve. Grants the contract permission to move USDG on your behalf. This is a one-time step per contract.
  2. Buy. The actual trade.

After the approval, subsequent buys on that curve are a single transaction. Selling a token you hold also needs its own one-time approval.

Your first trade

  1. Open Explore and pick a token. The New tab shows the most recent launches; Graduating soon shows the ones closest to reaching a Uniswap pool.
  2. On the token page, enter an amount in the trade panel. You will see the estimated tokens you receive, the fee, and your price impact before confirming.
  3. Confirm in your wallet. Once the transaction lands the tokens are in your wallet and your position shows up in Portfolio.
Start small. Buy an amount you would be comfortable losing entirely while you learn how the curve, the fees, and graduation actually behave. See Trading & the curve.
